I installed the NSO Mod just to play something different and when I go to open it up, it says fatal error says something about using the original dll files. What do they mean orig. dll files?

Do you have more than one mod installed in the same game folder? Perhaps one of those mods has custom .dlls that the NSO mod can't work with. Or possibly one of the .dlls has gone missing or got corrupted.

Might help if you can make a second installation of DFBHDTS so you have a source of unmodded files.

At some point in the past, I started basically copy-pasting the original 'Delta Force Black Hawk Down' folder in the 'Novalogic' folder, renaming it, then installing mods in that. Have to make custom icons on the desktop and the Start Menu, but having a pristine original DFBHDTS installation is worth the effort. I have twelve different DFBHDTS installations in my 'Novalogic' folder. Each of those has two to fourteen .pffs in the 'mod' folders.

I'll be honest, I feel less than in full control of the situation.

My vanilla DFBHDTS folder has six .dlls (dynamic link libraries, 'Anwendungserweiterungen' aufs Deutsch). MSVCRT.DLL is tripping a vague memory of annoyance in my thinky meats, but I'm not sure it's about DFBHDTS. I think MSVCRT.DLL is a file that's in a lot of games.

But I'd suggest investigating those .dll files. I... am Captain Obvious!
