Even with actual tools made for the job i still cant get the textures to show up the correct way. I had the same issue back in 2006 with these models

lowered the poly count on this one to 3000 verts. Good enough for the game

Well, I must agree with you. But believe me, 3d modeling is kinda hard to master, maybe with a bit of luck and persistance I'll be able to make some model conversions someday!

This bf2 conversion is going to quite hard to do. Bf2 game engine handles light different than nova does and all the light data is in the .dds textures and models. Which means each one has to be remapped for it to work in bhd. Hopefully it all goes well.

If i`m not mistaken thats why nova has the new 3di format. bhd uses the older dxtc1 format and the newer 3di uses either dxt3 or 4. bhd is a directx8 game vs jo and dfx is directx9

No interiors on most of the models but thats ok with me cause collision boxing interiors take alot of time.

To put the texture back on to the battlefield 2 buildings you have to uv unrap the texture's on the buildings and battlefield 2 static objects use 3 or more texture's on each static object as buildings props. But the only thing that will be easy to take out from bf2 is the weapons and the vehicles as there only using one 2 texture as I know.

bhd oed dont like multi/sub-object maps. superoed works but not bhd. Its due to the engine lighting. Besides bhd only has 65 megs of textures that the engine can handle and having 5 or 6 textures on a model would surely crash the game. as far as remapping goes yeah i know i`m almost bald from pulling my hair out as i do each model. 100 or so are finished loads more to go

Twist come in to team speak 3 I sent you the ip info need to ask you some thing nothing to do with modding it has to do with some thing you would be ok by doing. but if you do have a ts3 up ill go in it to ask you it. but othere then that I understand what your talking about Smile
