If I remember correctly, yeah. The no-cd .exe replaces the original dfbhd.exe, so it's a good idea to either rename or move the original. Or maybe rename the no-cd .exe and edit the shortcuts to use that.

What Baldo says, for my mod I'm using the no-cd cracked .exe.

Moreover, thanks to a little program, I hacked it to enable a custom screen resolution.  I'm playing with a resolution of 1920x1080.  Of course DFBHD doesn't support 16:9 modes out of the box, in fact there are some little bugs, but all in all it's playable and it scales almost everything correctly.  Maybe if you are interested I could make a post in the future about it, on how to make it work.

Interesting note:  in June 1 of this year, just a few days ago, Novalogic surprisingly released a beta patch for an old flight game, F-22 Lightning 3, enabling widescreen resolutions and updating multiplayer functions.  I thought Novalogic died, it seems instead they are gaining ground again.  I wish in the future they could update some if not all of their old games.  DFBHD/TS is a must.

LoneWolf, if you want to know more on how to play DFBHD in 16:9, read this, I'm not making a separate thread for it 'cause I have no time now:
