Can someone tell me how to stop my maps from getting darker as you play them, I am trying to figure it out but no luck, Any info would help, Thanks
You must move your house to the lee of the stone.
Hold on... (What? How the fuck's a map spontaneously get darker in DFBHD?)
Okay, apparently the answer above is for a different question.
I don't necessarily need more data, 'cause the only way to get the environment to change during a mission in DFBHD is with .wac scripting, but the extra data I want is how did you do by accident what took me weeks of trial and error experimentation half a dozen years ago?
I have to assume you have the .wac file under control. What I really want is a detailed description of what you're seeing in your maps. Also, is it only maps you made, or is it any .bms you load up?
At this late stage of my DFBHDcareer hobby, I've gotten pretty good at ignoring questions I can't answer and leaving them for other experts, but you're describing something that sounds suspiciously like spontaneous nightfall in DFBHD, and I've never heard of that happening.
My inner cynic suspects you're using .wac files from other mappers, which would be a bit mundane, easily fixed, and nothing to write home about, but I'm hoping it's something new and exciting, possibly apocalyptic. I don't know.
So what's this darkening look like?

I know it sounds strange but, And I don't know what I did, I check the wac file and there is nothing to make my maps darker as you play them, It goes right to pitch black, and It is not just one map,

So you start a mission, and for a while it's okay, then everything goes dark?
